It wouldn’t be farfetched to say that we can see mathematics all over us. Some even goes to say that our universe is literally made out of mathematics in the same way that computer programs are made out of code. Everything we can physically observe has a mathematical explanation, even the most complex and beautiful of anomalies. From the simplest motion of the sunflower plants to the unobservable science of black holes is governed by mathematics. Today let us check about the exact same and figure out where mathematics lies in black holes.
First and foremost the existence of black holes was discovered by a mathematician but had no idea what it was. Quantum theory gave a better understanding of black holes but it wasn’t until 1970 when Stephen Hawking discovered that radiation does escape this inescapable anomaly. In 2014 it was discovered that some information and even tiny amount of light can also escape. The mathematical beauty of the black hole is in its creation as for a black hole to be created, mass has to be compressed enough for it to collapse into itself. They say that if the earth gets compressed into the size of a wall nut a black hole could be formed.
Here at MathsOne one of the leading Math Tuition Centres in Kerala, we teach all such fundamentals.
