Research from the Psychology Department at the University of Chicago has revealed that 2-4 year old kids that play puzzles and games have it easier to comprehend and understand the subject of mathematics in general. The study was initially conducted to test the spatial learning capability of the kids. Spatial reasoning skills are the ability to mentally rotate shapes. The initial research was to find out whether or not logical puzzles have a positive inclination to the students in the matter of spatial learning capacity but it later came to be that practicing such problems will improve your learning capacity of the subject of Mathematics as a whole. One should also note that parents should choose puzzles based on the children’s skill level. Lower level puzzles or games have equally negative effect as those with higher grade.
