Of all the mysteries in our universe, something that scientists have yet to completely understand is why we spent one-third of our lives sleeping. We know the benefits of sleeping but why the body automatically does this is still not 100% understood. But the professor of Mathematics Mark Holmes and his graduate student Lisa Rogers of the Researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is developing a computer model to predict how different physical, medical and environmental changes to a person's body will affect their sleep and sleep cycle. It lead the research team to develop a massive 11 equation model of the sleep-wake cycle and now their next step involves them to input these equations into a very user-friendly computer model for the biologist and doctors to study further and implement.

Here at MathsOne, one of the Best Maths Tuition Centres in Kerala we educate our students in the basics of Mathematics that we often overlook.
