A wormhole is a theoretical passage through space-time that could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe and while many things in astrophysics and theoretical physics have never been discovered, but, as they say, “the math works out”, meaning that they are possible. Wormholes are more technically referred to as Einstein-Rosen bridges, as they were first proposed by Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen in 1935. Without dwelling into the complex theory of general relativity and astrophysics a wormhole is created when two hugely massive objects could bend space-time to such a point that they would connect to one another via a bridge which would in theory reduce travel time between those two points in the universe. Wormholes may not only connect two separate regions within the universe, they could also connect two different universes. Similarly, some scientists have conjectured that if one mouth of a wormhole is moved in a specific manner, it could allow for even time travel. It is also said that wormholes are extremely unstable and it is predicted that there would be massive amounts of radiation at the mouth and singularity of certain wormhole.
